- APA Rules
- Home Team submits roster to Away Team first.
- Home Team roster must be submitted by 6:50 p.m.
- Away Team roster must be submitted 6:55 p.m.
- First match should begin by 7:00 p.m.
- Is required that the 7:00 p.m. match start on time. If a player is unavailable at any time, go to next game and return to skipped game at first opportunity.
- Any team which fails to field a player for the first singles game by 7:15 p.m. will forfeit 1 point. If that team fails to field a player by 7:30 p.m. it will forfeit 2 points. One point will be forfeited every 15 minutes.
- Any team which fails to field a doubles team or a singles match player within 5 minutes after the end of previous match will forfeit that point.
- Lag for break
- Loser pays first
- One bonus point for team with the most singles wins each week.
- Two timeouts per match, one minute only.
- Player must call timeout and set timer before discussing shot with any teammate.
- No more than one minute should be expected or allowed between shots. If play is dragging, any team or player can request a match to be put on a shot clock.
- The four teams with the most accumulated points by end of the regular season, qualify for playoffs.
- The player with the most individual points by the end of the regular season wins the MVP "Top Gun" award.
- Captains - please tabulate all team points and all individual points and sign sheets.
- Weekly dues - - $20 per team. If you are playing with less than four players, divide the $20 among the three remaining players.
- Put dues and completed score sheets in small envelope and leave with Lionheart bartender or Jerry. Pick up your stat, score sheet and dues envelope next Tuesday. Leave your timers at the bar and pick-up the following week with your envelopes.
- Playing with less than four players will incur a 3 point deduction penalty this season. No penalty will be incurred if both teams are competing with less than four players.
- An alternate (fill-in) player list will be distributed with telephone numbers to each Captain. These players can be contacted by any team and can only be used to fill out a spot on your four player roster. Only four can play on any given week including playoffs. Using an alternate player in playoffs is discouraged and should only be considered and allowed out of desperation and only when your regular fourth player is completely unavailable.
- An alternate player can compete for the MVP award.
- No player can be credited with more than 4 individual points in any given weekly match. However, all points will be credited toward team score.
- Safety shots should be called to the attention of opposing player when object ball is frozen or near frozen to cushion. This gives notice to the opposing player to call the ball frozen if required.
